Step into the world of digital media and marketing with our immersive advertising workshop. Students won’t just learn about great ads, they’ll create one! Working in groups, they’ll produce a multidisciplinary media arts work that can serve as both a showcase project and inspiration for further classwork or assessment. From concept to camera, they’ll explore the secrets of crafting compelling visual stories, filming their own advertisement, and applying layered techniques that add meaning and impact for the viewer. Along the way, they’ll develop and employ practical technical skills to bring their ideas to life.

Years 3–6 Media Arts & English Students explore media languages, technologies, and production processes to create engaging works for specific purposes and audiences. They develop skills to plan, create, and present their ideas effectively in both informal and formal settings, using clear structure, precise language, visual features, and appropriate tone, pace, and volume, while applying responsible media practices.
Years 7–9 Media Arts Students develop and refine production skills to communicate ideas and perspectives through images, sounds, texts, and interactive elements. They experiment with diverse representations, apply media conventions, and use media languages and technologies to design and produce works for specific audiences. Reflection on their own and others’ work informs creative choices, while responsible media practices guide their production process.
