Enhance Your Media Arts Skills with Imperfect Creatives Professional Development Workshops

Join Brie Jurss and Jack Kelly from Imperfect Creatives for two dynamic professional development sessions designed to ignite creativity and enhance media arts in your classroom. These workshops are inclusive of both primary and secondary educators. Attend one or both—it's your choice!

Workshop 1: Imperfect School

Step into the colourful world of childhood wonder with Imperfect School! Inspired by beloved children’s variety shows, this workshop will show you how to engage primary students in media arts. From story time and crafting to imaginative play, children’s variety shows offer endless opportunities to enhance learning in subjects like English, HASS, Drama, Visual Arts, Music, and Dance.

Explore the production process from design and scripting to shooting and postproduction and learn how to bring educational programs to life in your classroom.

Workshop 2: Don’t Fear the Gear

Feeling intimidated by technology? Don’t Fear the Gear will help you overcome any hesitations about using equipment in the classroom. Whether you're working with top-of-the-line gear or minimal resources, this hands-on workshop will show you how to empower students in filmmaking and editing. Gain practical insights into film production techniques and learn how to stretch your resources to enhance students’ creativity behind the camera. Bring your own equipment and leave with strategies to extend your students' media arts capabilities—no matter your budget.
