    Media Arts: Years 5 - 10

    Developing Practices and Skills

Develop and refine media production skills to communicate ideas, perspectives, and meaning through the manipulation of media languages—including images, sounds, texts, and interactive elements—and media technologies. Experiment with constructing representations that reflect ideas and perspectives, exploring the use of media conventions and languages throughout the production process. Reflect on their own or others’ media arts works and practices to inform and refine creative choices during each stage of production.

    Creating and Making

Use media languages, technologies, and production processes to design, structure, and produce media arts works that communicate ideas, perspectives, and meaning for specific audiences. Apply media arts concepts to construct representations that confirm or challenge audience expectations while adhering to responsible media practices.

    English: Years 5-6

Create, rehearse and deliver short oral and/or multimodal presentations to inform, express opinions or tell stories, using a clear structure, details to elaborate ideas, topic specific and precise vocabulary, visual features, and appropriate tone, pace, pitch and volume.
