Under the guise of Museum of the Moon, enjoy a night of classical music and opera by world renowned soprano Katie Stenzel and Baritone Jason Barry-Smith as they bring you the celestial soundtrack of Wonder.
Moonrise Sonata will feature solo, duo and trio performances from instrumental compositions, opera and musical theatre all inspired by the night sky and taking audiences to new heights in this free, family friendly music program.
The Lawn Bar and Airstream will be open for food and beverage purchases.

Katie Stenzel
Katie is a dynamic, coloratura soprano and has established herself as an engaging and multi-faceted performer. A graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Katie has performed across Australia and internationally with companies including State Opera South Australia, Opera Queensland, Opera Australia, Brisbane Festival, Brisbane Music Festival, The Adelaide Fringe Festival, and the Taipei Drama Festival in Taiwan. Operatic roles have included Queen of the Night in The Sopranos, Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro, Valencienne in The Merry Widow, Zerlina in Don Giovanni and many more. Notable concert works include Mahler 4, Messiah (Handel), Carmina Burana (Orff), African Sanctus (Fanshawe), The Mysteries of the Macabre (Ligeti), and Oratorio de Noêl (Saint-Saëns).
Jason Barry Smith
Jason Barry-Smith’s study in Brisbane, Munich, London and Rome led him to a singing career in concert halls and on stages in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe. He has performed in many Opera Queensland productions, including the Marchese in La traviata, Despard in Ruddigore, Dandini in Cinderella, Pish-Tush in The Mikado, Bello in The Girl of the Golden West, Danilo and Zeta in The Merry Widow, Papageno in The Magic Flute, Guglielmo in Così fan tutte, Eisenstein and Falke in Die Fledermaus, Mercutio in Romeo & Juliet, Schaunard in La bohème, and the title roles of The Barber of Seville and Don Giovanni.
