Studio 1 is a flexible black canvas designed to inspire. Whether you're hosting an intimate workshop, a stylish pre-show cocktail event, or a meeting with a creative twist, this space offers versatility and flair. Accommodating up to 200 guests’ theatre-style, and supported by our in-house technical team, Studio 1 is built to meet your vision—whatever it may be.
For a more intimate or behind-the-scenes feel, Studio 2 offers a raw, industrial vibe reminiscent of New York galleries or underground bars. With its concrete floor and crisp white walls, it’s the perfect choice for a secretariat space, VIP green room, or private breakout area. This minimalist space offers both character and functionality in equal measure.

HOTA’s purpose‑built Theatre 1 is a high‑performance venue for touring productions, premium presentations, and large‑scale events and has been presenting world‑class live performance in the heart of the Gold Coast since 1986. Seating 1,121 guests across Stalls and Balcony, the venue combines strong audience connection with professional-scale production, and complete backstage facilities. With a proven track record hosting major touring artists such as Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson, Herny Rollins, leading international comedians, and acclaimed musical theatre high‑performance venue for touring productions, premium presentations, and large‑scale events.
