Artist Statement

Trent-Paul Firmin creates a maximalist abstract coastal hinterland collision inherent in today's Gold Coast lifestyle to explore and reflect the ever-changing landscape of our diverse city, flora and fauna.

Looking back from the past to the present, with futuristic hints of childhood influences from Jenny Kee and Ken Done, TPF reimagines the candy kaleidoscope of the 80s hyper-colour palette.

Pretty in Pink Paradise combines unique textured layers, fluid lines and glimpses of opulent gold, a signature colour in all TPF’s works.
