Artist Statement

This work is part of the artist's ongoing interest in 'Spiritual Capitalism'.

Things would be a lot easier if desire didn't lead to suffering is intended as a sarcastic jab at self-help culture, lamenting how ideas of enlightenment, spiritual fulfilment, and religious truisms have been co-opted by the wellness industry.
