The Complaints Department
The Complaints Department is a companion piece to The Ladies Lounge. Think Severance meets a customer service centre - slightly surreal performance art that requires your participation. Participants may air frustrations with The Complaints Department (TCD), provided they have direct experience and knowledge of the issue they are complaining about. TCD will not accept complaints regarding generalised, or abstract issues that may impact but do not directly relate to the complainer. Once your complaint has been received, processed, and consoled - participants will leave with their documented formalized complaint– big or small. Please be prepared to be questioned provide details about specifics.

Tora López’s work explores the spectrum of emotions, systems of play, melodrama, and humor through sculpture, performance, and installation projects. Guest performers from outside the art community are often engaged including but not limited to doctors, psychics, lawyers, self-help gurus, conspiracy theorists, breatharians, children at play, and opera singers. She is one half of the artist duo known as INNER COURSE.
Her sculpture and installation works have been exhibited at MONA (Tasmania,AU), Alaska Projects (Sydney, AU), The Bunker Artspace (FL), The Ogden Museum of Southern Art (LA), FLAG Art Foundation (NYC), Smack Mellon (NYC), Signs and Symbols (NYC), Every Woman Biennial (NYC), among others. She lives and works in Brooklyn
