Breaking into Heaven: Selve with Australian Session Orchestra
Prepare for an electrifying fusion of sound, story and spectacle as Selve — the trailblazing Indigenous-led alt-rock band from the Gold Coast — joins forces with the 33-piece Australian Session Orchestra for a one-night-only event at HOTA.
In an historic world-first, Selve’s upcoming debut album Breaking Into Heaven marks the first full-length album recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios by an Aboriginal artist. This groundbreaking performance will bring the album to life in a high-theatre concert experience, combining cinematic soundscapes with raw rock energy.
Accompanied with spectacular visuals featuring performances from contemporary First Nations dance company, Karul Projects, Selve will deliver a fully immersive audio-visual production that celebrates culture, place, and powerful storytelling.
This is more than a concert — it’s a cultural milestone. So grab your ticket, bring your dancing shoes and get ready to take off. Selve is taking over HOTA’s Theatre 1 this August for a mind-blowing performance that will echo throughout the BLEACH* Festival and beyond.
