Anisa Nandaula

You Can't say that

In her comedy show, Anisa Nandaula hilariously navigates the complexities of being a Black girl in Australia, intertwining her experiences with relationships to her new home, Uganda, and the people she loves. From her arrival in Queensland, where she expected a multicultural paradise but found cows instead, to her awkward friendship with classmate Rachel, Anisa shares her journey with sharp wit.

She also reflects on meeting her boyfriend for the first time and how her relationship with her mother has been shaped by their life in a new country. Through funny anecdotes about cultural misunderstandings, bathroom mishaps, and the struggle for acceptance, Anisa highlights the awkwardness of trying to connect in a new environment. Ultimately, this show celebrates individuality, love, and the power of laughter in overcoming life's challenges, inviting audiences to embrace their unique stories and relationships.
