SCRIPT TO SCREEN

Ever wondered how a few lines in a script can turn into a cinematic masterpiece?

Our Script to Screen event will give you an indepth look behind the curtain of filmmaking.
We’re taking this year’s winning Queensland Screenwriting Awards’ script and handing it over to the talented QUT Acting Students. And you can have a front row seat as you watch them breathe life into the characters on the page, during a high-energy live reading!
This wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support and the talent from QUT and it’s performers. It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s the ultimate tribute to great storytelling.
The Queensland Screenwriting Award 2026 will be presented at the Gold Coast Film Festival Awards Gala 2026.
