You heard it here first: Keith Haring’s Untitled (1981) is coming exclusively to HOTA Gallery for our international blockbuster exhibition, Pop Masters: Art from the Mugrabi Collection, New York. 

Pop Artist Keith Haring is known for spreading messages through simplistic forms and bright colours. Dogs quickly became one of Haring’s most iconic and well-known symbols, first appearing in his subway drawings in 1980. 

He flips the traditional depiction of dogs as loyal companions, using them to symbolise abuse of power, oppressive regimes, and obedience. Haring used dogs depicted in human-like forms to invite people to think about the difference between human power and animal instinct.
