Artist Statement

With a strong interest in nature, people, and my cultural heritage, I strive to share the beauty I see through my eyes in my artworks. I express a profound reverence for nature, capturing its essence through vibrant hues and intricate details. In My Ray of Sunshine, using coloured pencils, I aim to convey the mesmerising richness of nature's palette; celebrating the harmony and beauty it bestows upon us.

About the Artist

Rain was born in the beautiful city of Chengdu, China. In 2004, she moved to the Gold Coast to further her education. She met her husband and started a family here, now proudly calling the Gold Coast her second home.

Through portraiture and naturalism, Rain's work captures the essence of her subjects with a unique perspective that intertwines personal experiences and cultural influences. Drawing inspiration from the natural beauty of the Gold Coast and her rich cultural heritage, she seeks to convey the profound connections between humans and their environment.

With a deep appreciation for nature and people, Rain's artwork reflects the harmonious blend of these elements. Rain's meticulous attention to detail and passion for creativity enable her to share the beauty she sees with the world, inviting viewers to appreciate the intricate relationships that shape our lives.
