Gold Coast Jazz & Blues Club: SOULTOWN

A TRIBUTE TO SOUL AND MOTOWN

SOULTOWN presents a dynamic and true reproduction of the classics of 60’s Soul music from the houses of Motown and Stax/Atlantic records.

This 8 piece tribute band performs the classic songs of artists including Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Martha and The Vandellas, The Temptations, and many others. This highly experienced and entertaining band is certain to get audiences singing along and heading for the dance floor.

SOULTOWN plays it all from dance floor fillers like ‘Dancin’ in the Street’, ‘Rescue Me’ and ‘Shake Your Tail-feather’ through slow burning lovers’ tracks like ‘Let’s Get It On’ and ‘I Never Loved a Man’ and flat-out soul classics like Aretha’s definitive version of ‘Respect’ and Stevie’s ‘Signed Sealed Delivered’.

With authentic 60’s costumes, and full sound and lighting production, SOULTOWN is a must see performance.
