Class Clowns

Looking for Australia's next teen comedy sensation!

Melbourne International Comedy Festival's national comedy competition Class Clowns is back to inspire, engage, and elevate teenagers aged 14-18! All it takes is 3-5 minutes of original material in any genre - whether it’s stand-up, sketch, solo, group, musical, or physical comedy—the possibilities are endless! The Gold Coast heat starts with a 2-hour workshop lead by a professional comedian. Winners of this heat will see themselves at the Queensland state final competing for a Grand Final place in Melbourne where they could win a massive $1,500 cash prize (and a workshop for their school)!

Registrations open in October 2024.
