Join HOTA Gallery Senior Curator Julie McLaren on the opening day of HOTA Collects: Alchemy for a roaming floor talk. Julie will share insights into her curatorial approach to developing the exhibition, revealing stories behind key works in the exhibition.

Julie MacLaren

Julie McLaren is Senior Curator at HOTA Gallery, and curator of HOTA Collects: Alchemy. She has nearly twenty years’ experience across the gallery and museum sector, with previous roles at the Art Gallery of Ballarat, Ballarat International Foto Biennale, National Museum of Australia and National Film and Sound Archive. She has delivered more than fifty exhibitions and led major commissions, with a focus on collection-based projects and contemporary practice.
