Artists

Minna Gilligan

Minna Gilligan – Artist

Minna Gilligan is an artist based in Melbourne (Naarm), working primarily with painting, drawing and collage. Her practice speaks of fleeting, personal encounters with the past and present, and manifests in a riotous reconciliation of both. Her works are playgrounds of colour, often referencing 1960s/1970s psychedelia and evoking nostalgic romanticism. Gilligan’s work has been shown at many national and international institutions including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Gallery of Victoria, and Heide Museum of Modern Art. Gilligan has published four books and worked as an illustrator with clients such as Rookie magazine, Rachel Antonoff, Elle magazine (UK and Australia), Urban Outfitters, It’s Nice That, and many more.

Rachel Burke

Rachel Burke

Rachel Burke is a Brisbane-based multidisciplinary artist, designer and author whose practice explores memory, sentiment and storytelling through wearable art, painting, sculpture, installation and craft. Rachel has built an internationally recognised creative career spanning more than 15 years, working with organisations including QAGOMA, NGV, Museum of Brisbane, Disney and Airbnb. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, and in 2026 she is the inaugural Artist in Residence at Brisbane Powerhouse.

DJ Mattymadeit

DJ Mattymadeit

Mattymadeit is a Gold Coast-based producer, musician and vinyl DJ who has spent the past decade deeply embedded in the local music scene. A producer behind hundreds of millions of streams and the 2024 Gold Coast Studio Producer of the Year, his musical world stretches across house, disco, funk, soul, jazz and everything in between. His approach behind the decks is rooted in the same thing that drives his studio work: great records, great sound and a genuine love for digging deeper. Away from the studio, Matty can be found spinning vinyl at bars, parties and events around the Gold Coast, bringing a carefully selected mix of underground cuts, forgotten gems and dancefloor favourites. With a deep record collection and an ear for unexpected connections between styles, his sets move naturally from warm and soulful to deep, funky and seriously danceable — always with a strong focus on the music and the room.
