About the Opportunity:
As a Kitchen Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen during service. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we’ll provide the training and support to help you develop your skills and contribute to a thriving kitchen environment.
Your Role and Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain Cleanliness & Hygiene: Ensure the kitchen and all work areas are kept clean, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Support the Team: Help by checking off and properly storing incoming stock to ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and organised.
- Assist with Food Prep: Support chefs by assisting with basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of a senior team member.
- Follow Safety & Cleanliness Protocols: Adhere to food safety standards and cleanliness protocols, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment at all times.
- Assist Kitchen Staff: Lend a hand to chefs and other kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, ensuring smooth kitchen operations during service.
- Organise & Manage Kitchen Equipment: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean, safe, and in proper working order, assisting with maintenance as required.
- Waste Management: Help with the proper disposal and recycling of waste, keeping the kitchen tidy and environmentally responsible.
- Assist with Stock Rotation: Help maintain proper stock rotation to ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in our dishes.
The Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Previous experience in a Kitchen Attendant or similar role (preferred but not required)
- A good understanding of food safety standards and relevant legislation
- Experience working safely with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Knowledge of manual handling techniques to safely lift and carry kitchen items
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
