About the Opportunity:
We are seeking Casual Chefs to bring creativity and culinary skills to the development of seasonal menus and maintain the highest culinary standards. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team in a vibrant, fast-paced kitchen.
Your Role Includes:
- Dependant on your level of experience as a chef, your role will vary accordingly.
- Entry-Level Chefs: Assist with food prep, learn essential kitchen skills, and support your team in executing dishes during service.
- Mid-Level Chefs: Take charge of food prep, cooking, and managing your designated section. Contribute to the creation of innovative dishes and ensure smooth operations.
- Experienced Chefs (Senior): Lead a section, oversee food preparation, ensure consistency and quality across all dishes, and collaborate with the team to develop and refine new menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
Dependant on your level of experience as a chef, your responsibilities will vary accordingly.
- Entry-Level Chefs: Assist with food preparation, maintain a clean and organised workstation, and support the kitchen team to ensure dishes are executed smoothly during service.
- Mid-Level Chefs: Take charge of food prep and cooking in your designated section, ensuring all dishes are prepared to standard. Collaborate with the team to create innovative dishes and contribute to menu development.
- Experienced Chefs: Lead and manage your section, ensuring the highest quality and consistency across all dishes. Oversee food preparation and ensure timely service while maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
The Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Certificate 3 in Hospitality or higher
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A passion for modern Australian cuisine and a creative flair for innovative dishes
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- A creative mind ready to experiment with new ideas
- High attention to detail and a commitment to consistency and quality
