Sunroom – Wearable Robot Armour

The Sunroom program provides a safe creative space for artmaking, creative play and exploration for adults with a disability.
RX78-2 by Kung Wen-Yi 鞏文宜, currently showing in This Moment: Highlights from the White Rabbit Collection of Chinese Contemporary Art - combines the artist’s love of robotics with traditional craft aesthetics.
In this Sunroom we will explore creative ways of augmenting our bodies with robotic armour to enable powers beyond normal human functionality. Using recycled materials, we’ll imagine robots with claws, x-ray vision or wings!
No prior art making experience is necessary, only a willingness to engage your imagination, curiosity and sense of play.
