#Overview

We're excited to announce the return of the Gold Coast Triennial in 2024.

The Gold Coast Triennial is a contemporary art exhibition held every three years at HOTA Gallery, in Surfers Paradise.

It was established in 2021 as the first major exhibition held within the brand-new HOTA Gallery. A celebration of local creative practice, it featured artworks by artists connected to and living within the Gold Coast. Spanning generations, personal histories and career experience, the exhibition unveiled the depth and dynamism of this transient regional city.

As a part of this year’s Gold Coast Triennial, we have invited artists from across the city to be included in a salon display of artworks that survey the cultural temperature of this dynamic region. This dedicated display, celebrating the variety of art made by local artists, will sit within a major Gallery 1 exhibition, alongside newly commissioned artworks and historical artworks from the HOTA Collection.

Artists who have submitted will be notified in the coming weeks regarding the status of their application.
