Targeted

After more than five years in the making, Targeted is finally ready to be seen on the big screen.

Written, directed, edited and starring Gold Coast filmmaker Gabriel Ortiz, Targeted began when Gabriel was just 14 years old. With no professional crew or equipment, he wrote the screenplay and began filming entirely on smartphones, working alongside family and friends.

Five years later, Targeted has become a completed 70-minute coming-of-age thriller and will screen at HOTA Cinema for its Gold Coast Premiere.

Following the kidnapping of his younger sister, Mark and his friends set out to uncover the truth behind her disappearance. As they get closer to discovering what happened that fateful night, the kidnappers begin to face problems of their own.

The evening will feature a red carpet and media wall, followed by the screening of the film.
