Build & Destroy

Build & Destroy is an immersive public workshop series exploring creativity, transformation and collective participation through play and sculptural experimentation. Audiences are invited to engage with oversized modular forms, movement-based provocations and collaborative world-building exercises that encourage curiosity, adaptability and relational awareness. Guided by Melissa Gilbert’s UnitePlayPerform Method™, the workshops invite participants to move beyond passive observation and into active co-creation through making, dismantling and rebuilding temporary environments together. Through sensory interaction, improvisation and collective storytelling, Build & Destroy explores how participation, play and shared experimentation can become pathways toward cultural repair, emotional regulation and regenerative future imagination.

Dissolve the spectator within and participate in creating large scale community art installations in the HOTA Gallery spaces as part of BLEACH Festival.
