Drums of the Pacific

Get ready to get physical and learn the traditional dances of the Pacific.

This high energy workshop will have you moving, stomping, and chanting to the rhythmic beats of the tribal drums while taking you on a journey into different cultures with dances like the Haka, and other stories passed down through generations.

Keeping you safe

It is incredibly important to us that you have a safe experience when you come to HOTA. We have a COVID Safe plan which you can read on our FAQs page and there are some new conditions of entry which you should read before purchasing a ticket or attending an event at HOTA.

All events are set up to ensure we meet all social distancing and hygiene guidelines. All you have to do is enjoy yourself.

Arriving onsite

When you arrive for Kids Take Over, please head to the Café Terrace at least ten minutes before your event starts where you’ll be asked to register the details of everyone in your group (all children and their guardians) for contact tracing. HOTA Event Staff will escort your group to the location of your workshop or event.

What’s for lunch?

We’ve taken the hassle out of lunch and included it when you book to any Kids Take Over ticketed session. Enjoy either a HOTA Kid’s Lunch Box (including a sandwich, cheese and cracker pack, mini muffin and water or juice) or a small pizza. Plus, our Terrace Café will be open for a caffeine fix for the grown-ups, and other tasty treats.

Lunch will be available from 11.30am – 1pm in the Lawn Bar daily during Kids Take Over.
