By the Circa Ensemble in association with Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Guest Artists
Combining deep feeling with astonishing physicality, this is an evening of intimate new works.
Performed by the globally renowned Circa Ensemble with cellist Matthew Jones from Queensland Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz with guest directors Thomas E Kelly, Todd Kilby, Ben Knapton and Lee Lewis, this is a chance to get up close and personal with one of the world’s great performing arts companies.
During isolation, the Circa ensemble continued to create. This is the first outing for works made since March – a mixture of solos and duos that will thrill and move audiences.
“Under director Yaron Lifschitz, the Circa ensemble has become globally recognised for its innovative and influential style of circus, which expands the vocabulary and emotional palette of the form, exploring fertile borderlands with physical theatre and contemporary dance in a way that deepens the impact of the physical genius on display.” – The Age Australia
