Brothers Book Club by The Mamas Boys Collective

Work in Progress

Welcome to Brothers Book Club.

Once a month, the boys meet at Book Club to discuss, study, help (and roast) one another. These boys are best friends – they’re brothers.

Through the books they read, they learn about themselves as individuals, as men, and as a brotherhood.

Directed by Claire Christian, and created by an emerging collective from Logan, Brothers Book Club traverses theatre, hip hop, poetry and the boys’ imaginings of classical texts. The play’s world premiere at Brisbane Festival 2020 may have been cancelled, so now’s your chance to get a taste of this new Australian play, as inspirational as it is hilarious and unflinchingly honest.

Keeping you safe

It is incredibly important to us that you have a safe experience when you come to HOTA. We have a COVID-Safe plan which you can read on our FAQs page and the Fireside sessions will be set up to ensure we meet all social distancing and hygiene guidelines. All you have to do is enjoy yourself!

Eat & Drink

Available to purchase when you arrive, we’ve got some delectable cheese boxes for you to enjoy on Saturday afternoons. With our Chef’s pick of the best local cheeses, bread and condiments these platters are just made for sharing with friends. And we’ll keep the good times rolling by bringing your drinks direct to your table. You won’t have to lift a finger!

This event is table service only, and the bar opens at midday.

Acknowledgments

Presented as part of HOTA’s Fireside Program.
