About HOTA Choir
The HOTA Choir is a massed choir of local voices with a punchy and soulful repertoire of contemporary works under the music direction of Antony Zambolt and a team of guest conductors.
This exciting collaboration provides choirs and singers from all backgrounds a unique opportunity to rehearse contemporary vocal arrangements in a fun and informal environment.
So far the choir has performed at Concert for the Planet, The Commonwealth Games Festival 2018 and with Neil Finn as well as performing carols at the Gold Coast Airport.
The choir usually rehearses on Monday evenings at HOTA, from 6-8pm however rehearsals are currently taking place online due to current social distancing restrictions. We’re also not currently accepting new members. We will let choir members know when rehearsals at HOTA will begin again.
There is no cost to be a part of the choir. Participants need to be aged 16+ and those aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to attend. The choir has also added HOTA X Ensemble which is a smaller group of auditioned singers.
HOTA Choir is presented by Gold Coast Airport.
