Rage takes it up a gear

23 Apr 2020

The art is coming at you fast this week as our Rage Against the V(irus) fund fully kicks in.

Local artists have been having a ball creating, making and taking their art online. And we’ve been right there with them, helping make it happen. This week we’re listening to what Alisha Todd, Amy John Roberts, Eddie Ray and Matthew Gray have created, give them some love and check out their work.

So far, we’ve received more than 195 applications and have supported 25 projects.

Each week our panel, made up of members of HOTA’s Programming and Curatorial teams review the exciting applications we receive.

The successful applicants this week proposed a masterclass in Indian classical and contemporary dancing, isolation inspired illustration and animation, a video project featuring unseen historical surf footage video and music video clip of an acoustic set.

The amazing local artists that we are supporting this week are:

  • Aarti Bajaj
  • Josh Bystrom
  • Kai James
  • Camille Manley

Watch this space for their work, heading your way soon.
