Local artists rage with us

Our Rage Against the V(irus) project has been an amazing experience for us.

We were quick to shoot from the hip to give artists a much-needed commission and now we’re enjoying their creative brilliance from the comfort of our home. There are still two weeks left for artists to apply – get in quick!

With art rolling out over the last few weeks, we’ve been blown away by the inventiveness and creativity of our local artists. We knew they were a resourceful, adaptable bunch but this has been truly next level. So far, we’ve received more than 220 applications so far and have supported 34 projects.

The amazing local artists that we are supporting this week are:

  • Erica Gray
  • Skye Jamieson
  • Lann Levinge
  • Rebecca Ross
  • Melissa Spratt

The successful applicants this week proposed a wearable art project, a family musical collab, a stop motions video project, a split screen artistic creation and a performance piece involving a swimming pool.

And make sure you check out what local artists Zac FaheyArt-Work Agency, and Eric Koo have created thanks to our Rage Against the V(irus) artist fund.

Watch this space for their work, heading your way soon.

Local artist? We want you.

It’s not too late to Rage with us. Apply for Rage Against the (V)irus funding before Fri 15 May and we’ll help get your ideas out there. All the details and the FAQS are right here.
