Created and curated by Hannah Brontë, Fempress dance parties have been popping up throughout Australia since 2016, growing in size and popularity. Part dance club, part art installation, part protest, all celebration.
In this special Underground Love Bubble edition, aka our First Nation, Pasifika, People of Colour and the LGBTQIA+ Art Party, Fempress is a safe space for talented and iconic women of colour to create a place of movement and celebration. Dance, sweat, laugh, and meet new people to the heavy basslines of hip hop.
We’re all about the love – come as you are, leave your fears at the door, and enjoy the gift of seeing phenomenal musicians radiating up close.
Move in and out throughout the evening as you like.
Presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts as part of UNDERGROUND
Going to see Fempress Love Bubble? Your first UNDERGROUND ticket is $20 and all additional events that evening are $10 each when booked in the same transaction.
In between moments of dis/comfort, inspiration, and great art, take a seat at the UNDERGROUND Pop-Up Bar, located in HOTA Central. Here you can put your feet up and enjoy a glass or two of your favourite tipple or craft beer, while catching up with friends, swapping favourite moments, mingling with artists, and unpacking big ideas our artists present you with throughout the evening.
For another option to delight your senses – book in and enjoy dinner at Palette Restaurant or treat yourself to cocktails and flirt with rooftop views at The Exhibitionist Bar, open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
