Parking

Parking, including wheelchair accessible parking, is available at the HOTA, Home of the Arts but it’s limited.

There are two main carparks, one in front of HOTA Central and a second carpark directly in front of HOTA Gallery. See the map below for details.

We recommend you plan to arrive in plenty of time, as parking is limited and it does get busy. You might also wish to consider carpooling to the event with family and friends.

Public Transport

We encourage you to use public and active transport to get to and from HOTA.

TransLink’s bus, train and tram network can connect you to places all over the Gold Coast. Their integrated network on the Gold Coast includes the G:link trams, Surfside buslines and Queensland Rail. You can travel via bus, train or tram with a go card or if you’re a visitor to the Gold Coast the go explore card offers freedom, flexibility and value for money. The bus stop at HOTA currently services Route 731 however there is another bus stop on Bundall road servicing Route 747 and 748.

From Surfers Paradise

The light rail and bus routes offer many services to Surfers Paradise. From Surfers it is around a 10 minute walk to HOTA through Chevron Island and across the new bridge.

Ferry Service

You can also now catch a ferry to HOTA. Travelling between Surfers and the Broadwater Parklands, with stops at HOTA, Marina Mirage and Sea World, the ferry will provide an alternative way to get here.

Private Transport

Taxis or Ridesharing Services

Taxis on the Gold Coast can be hailed from the kerb on the street or engaged at designated taxi ranks. Gold Coast Cabs can be booked directly on 131 008 or via the Gold Coast Cabs website.

A designated set-down and pick-up area is located in the porte-cochère out the front of HOTA. Please see map below.

Please consider walking, cycling, scooting or skating to get here! The new bridge from Chevron Island makes it easier to get here.

The City of Gold Coast has Lime e-bikes available for hire located in different areas of the Gold Coast, including Surfers Paradise. Visit goldcoast.qld.gov.au for details.

To or from Gold Coast Airport

There’s lots of ways to travel between the Gold Coast Airport and the HOTA precinct.

Ride share costs approximately $40-$60, and while travelling by Taxi will cost approx. $60-$80.

If you prefer to travel by public transport, Bus Route 777 runs between Gold Coast Airport and Broadbeach South Tram Station seven days a week. From Broadbeach South Tram Station, you can travel to Cypress Avenue Station, and then walk through Chevron Island across the HOTA Bridge to the precinct.
