Gallery Sous Chef
We are looking for an exceptional Sous Chef to join the team in HOTA’s new Gallery restaurant. HOTA is proud to be a bold and ambitious arts precinct and to succeed in this role you’ll need to bring these qualities and a fearlessness to exceed expectations and delivering exquisite food every time.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for the consistent preparation and effective day to day running of the kitchens in HOTA’s new Gallery, with the highest quality, presentation and flavour for the dining rooms, banquets and other food facilities, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction. They will also be responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen and managing areas of profit, stock, waste control, hygiene practices, WHS and training within the kitchen. Working collaboratively with your team and art curators, you’ll establish a seamless visitor experience.

Visitor Services Coordinator
We are looking for a superstar to join our Visitor Services team. The team has primary responsibility for delivering visitor services and live interpretation of the Gallery and performance art across the precinct.
Three Visitor Services Coordinators (VSC’s) jointly coordinate the day-to-day roster, operations and ongoing training of the Visitor Services Officers (VSO’s) to ensure a high standard of customer service and full coverage of shifts for all opening hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The VSC’s maintain a regular presence in the public domain and fill service gaps if required. The VSC’s are the first point of contact for VSOs and Ambassadors requiring assistance with visitor-related service issues.

Casual Positions
Artist Educator
HOTA is looking for an exceptional Artist Educator who will be responsible for delivering and supporting a range of public programs. This is a brand new role for HOTA, where no two days will be the same. You could be helping participants with their life drawing skills, delivering curriculum-based learning tours to school groups, or assisting artists deliver our making and responding programs.
This is a hands-on role and you will need strong knowledge of art materials and contemporary artistic practice to support learning and engagement. A familiarity with curriculum-based learning is favourable, and a passion for working with diverse audiences to convey concepts and art historical contexts is essential.
